Private by design, not by promise
Three things EZFinder does differently. They are built into how it works, so they can't be switched off later.
Alerts worked out on the phone
Arrivals and departures are spotted by the phone itself, so no server ever needs to know where Home or School is.
Honest about freshness
Every position shows how old it is. A phone that's off says "offline since 14:20", not a confident pin from this morning.

Calm by default. You hear from EZFinder when something happens, not every time someone moves.

Codes nobody can misread
Invite codes, PINs and recovery words are set in Atkinson Hyperlegible, a typeface designed for the Braille Institute for readers with low vision. A capital I, a small l and a 1 all look different. So do O and 0.
Law enforcement and transparency
If someone asks us where you were
Police and courts can ask us for information with valid legal process. We answer narrowly, we tell you unless the law forbids it, and we publish how often it happens. What we can never hand over is your location: we don't have it in a form anyone can read.
